If you suffer from chronic pain but are understandably wary about using opioids or other strong pharmaceuticals, you might be interested to know that non-drug treatments have been emerging to manage pain for many people. Two of these treatments are Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), which uses cognitive behavioral therapy to help you “unlearn” pain; and Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation Devices, or TENS devices, which use low-voltage electrical currents delivered through skin patches to relieve pain.
