Description

Benefits in Action is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the community with a focus on the elderly and underserved, to improve their understanding, access, and utilization of food- and health-related benefits to enhance food security, health, and well-being. Benefits in Action staff assist with the understanding and preparation of health insurance benefits and community and governmental benefits. This includes, but is not limited to: Medicare, Medicaid, Connect 4 Health Colorado, SNAP, LEAP, Social Security Disability. Services are provided by unbiased navigators who receive no commission for their work. All services are provided at no charge to the customer as our programs are grant funded.

Benefits in Action also provides a peer mental wellness program for those who are socially isolated, a food delivery program of non-perishable and fresh foods to those who are homebound, and pro-bono tax preparation.
