As a certified eldercare manager and licensed professional counselor, I offer a range of services. My services fall into three basic areas: some people need a medical care advocate, so I accompany those people to their medical appointments, keeping track of their conditions and treatments and communicating with both doctors and client families. Also I help people who may be in transition with regards to needing help at home..to find either in-home care and support or beginning the process of moving to a senior community. And third, I provide counseling and consultation for clients and families, both as a one-time conversation as well as on-going, sometimes for years.
I am well networked and enjoy collaborating with other providers in the area and encourage my clients to think of how I work as a team approach, coordinating with different people in the client’s life, from professionals to family members, neighbors and caregivers.
For 12 years I owned and operated an 8-bed assisted living house in Wheatridge, Co..which was a wonderful adventure into the world of accompanying elders through frailty and finally end of life..knowing their life stories, their families and holding them in the community of that residence.
I am very committed to my work and clients and feel very grateful that I can offer help and assistance to older people who begin to need help.
