Elder Care
The Center’s work in Eldercare began with a 5-year Geriatric Workforce Grant from HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration). This program is a multi-partner interdisciplinary academic-practice collaborative aimed at increasing the number and capacity of geriatric-trained healthcare professionals in a wide range of healthcare facilities across Colorado. The goals of the program are to improve the ability of primary, acute and long-term care organizations to provide age-friendly healthcare and increase geriatric and Alzheimer’s related knowledge.
Programs:
- Age Friendly Health Systems
- An organization that reliably provides evidence-based elements of high-quality care for all older adults served by a system: What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility.
- Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program
- Virtual Dementia Tour
