Description

Amy and Scott Grossman and Harper Prendergast are Realtors® with Madison and Company in Denver and are called Denver’s premier ‘Real Estate Transition Specialists®.’ They believe anyone going through a life transition, such as retirement, divorce, relocation or the death of a loved one, deserves the highest level of care, a trusted partner and a genuine friend throughout the home buying and selling process.

“We believe every client we represent deserves our full attention, a custom approach that is representative of their needs and wants, and a real estate confidant who is there for them from start to finish,” says Amy and Scott.

Amy and Scott’s journey into the real estate world began years ago with Amy’s passion for looking at homes. As a hobby, Amy loved to attend open houses and look at homes online. Her love affair with homes propelled her to enter the real estate arena.

It officially started in 2005 when Amy decided she would turn her passion for real estate into a business. She took real estate classes and became certified and licensed. As Amy began to help several clients with their real estate transition needs, one individual stood out: A senior citizen who was downsizing from a four-level home he lived in for 40 years to a 2 bedroom condo in an active adult living community. The man was recently widowed and the transition into a small condo within an active adult community was difficult. Amy was able to not only sell his home, but she prepared the home for sale, helped him find peace with the transition, and eventually found him a new living arrangement that fully met his needs.

In 2007, Amy’s husband, Scott, joined Amy so he, too, could help individuals and families with their real estate transition needs.

While Amy and Scott have received numerous accolades and recognition over the years, they both say it’s their clients’ triumphant stories that keep them going day after day.

Amy and Scott recall once helping a Holocaust survivor find a better living arrangement. She had been living on the fourth floor of a condo building overlooking a peaceful courtyard. While that arrangement sounds lovely to most, the woman had little to no interaction with the outside world. Recognizing she was not in the right home, Amy and Scott quickly found her a first floor condo overlooking the Canal, where people-watching is the main sport! Amy says her client can now sit on her front porch and enjoy the bustle of life surrounding her.

“It’s stories like these that drive us in our mission to help those going through life transitions, particularly seniors looking to downsize into adult communities,” says Scott and Amy. “We treat each of our clients like family and we take care of them like they are our own parents, grandparents, sons and daughters. Many of them have kept in touch with us over the years and refer us to their friends and family – it’s an honor to serve two or more generations in one family and we are blessed to have that opportunity come our way often!” they say.

In summer of 2016, The Grossman Team made a business decision to move companies, from RE/MAX Southeast, to Madison and Company. This change has brought refreshing opportunities which will benefit their clients greatly.

In 2021, The Grossman Team expanded by bringing on another agent, Harper Prendergast. Harper has been a wonderful addition to the team sharing the vision of taking care of our clients with top notch service and expertise.
