The UCCS Aging Center is the only mental health clinic in the Pikes Peak region exclusively serving older adults. A not-for-profit organization administered by the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS), we provide cognitive testing and mental health treatment services, including caregiver support, for persons aged 55+ and their families, regardless of resources. We are one of the few geropsychology training clinics in the nation linking the academic standards of excellence and innovative clinical training with the practical needs of the community. Having grown to provide nearly 1,700 on-site visits annually, serving about 700 on-site
and off-site clients primarily in El Paso County, we also serve much of rural southern Colorado including Fremont and Pueblo, as well as Douglas and Teller counties. The majority of Aging Center clients receive specialty on-site and outreach service programs on a low-fee sliding scale, with offered services including memory screening, comprehensive neuropsychological assessments, cognitive care advocacy, individual and group psychotherapy, and caregiver family therapy.
