NIA, one of the 27 Institutes and Centers of NIH, leads a broad scientific effort to understand the nature of aging and to extend the healthy, active years of life. NIA is the primary Federal agency supporting and conducting Alzheimer's disease research.
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Denver (OLLI at DU) is an interactive adult learning membership program for inquiring adults, age 50 and better, who wish to pursue lifelong learning in a relaxed non-competitive atmosphere with no grades and no exams! Online and in-person courses at locations around the Denver Metro area and webinars are offered throughout the year.
Our work to find effective treatments and the prevention steps to stop Alzheimer’s falls into four main program areas: early intervention and improved brain health, health equity, driving changes that matter most to people living with the disease, and helping to speed treatments to market.
