2026 Service Changes
RTD is proposing Service Changes to take effect on January 4, 2026.
These proposed changes are designed to reflect seasonal ridership trends and support RTD’s System Optimization Plan, aimed at improving reliability and enhancing the overall customer experience. They also take into account the temporary pause of Phase 3 of the Downtown Rail Reconstruction Project (Colfax Avenue Alignment Reconstruction), which is expected to resume in 2026 alongside Phase 2.
Feedback on the Proposed January 2026 Service Changes was collected through Thursday, October 30.
Once all customer feedback is reviewed and the RTD Board of Directors approves the final changes, they will take effect on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
With more than 170 bus routes, 10 rail lines, and many specialty services, RTD makes it easy to get around town. Hop on board today.
